Hello,
I have a problem with the flow of the tools I use (I don't know how to describe it another way). When selecting something or using warp modes (these are just examples) mouse control gets jerky. I cannot select a space in one flow. It selects tiny parts and then stops. Then I have to do it again and again but then it selects another tiny part. Warp modes dito. It's like the workflow get's interrupted time after time.
Any thoughts and help greatly appreciated!

Can you show us or tell us what the settings in your tool options palette are?
Sometimes PSP is just slow and will eventually catch up with you. This is especially true on larger images. How big is the image you're working on? The step of the brush also factors in, if the step is too high you get a very stuttery appearance. If the step is too low it's doing a lot of drawing as you move the brush and so it'll lag behind.
The warp brush also has settings that can affect how long of a warp it can produce. So it'll appear to stop because you've reached the end of the effective range.
So knowing what tools, and what settings, and what image size might help narrow down the issue.

Re: Help! workflow gets interrupted
Please be specific in describing your problem.
I found out that you are using PSP 2019 , but I had to go look through your previous posts to find that out.
You mention "When selecting something or using warp mode"
I gather you are using the selection tools but which one
Selection - where you can choose a rectangle, ellipse , circle etc
Freehand Selection which has 4 selection types
Magic Wand
Smart Selection
Auto Selection
Did you try resetting the tool to its default setting - Click the little down arrow to the right of Presets This can often be a quick way to fix up a tool if it is just one of the settings that is wrong.
You also mention warp mode - is this the warp brush or mesh warp - both of those also have a reset to default setting in the presets.

Amazing what you can do with those selections. You can make interesting arrows, for example.hartpaul wrote: . . . Selection - where you can choose a rectangle, ellipse , circle etc . . .

Hello again.
On further testing I found out I had a faulty 'left finger' switch on my mouse which played havoc with my workflow.
Thanks for the input!!
