PSP 2019 - Right Click Paste

Post by evilgaz »

Hi All

Apologies if this is a daft question, but I've struggled to find an answer. After upgrading to PSP2019 Ultimate the "Paste" option is no longer available when I right-click the workspace - previously it was in the context menu. Is there an option for restoring this? I can use keyboard shortcuts to paste a new image, but it is sometimes preferable to (for instance) right-click copy an image in a browser and then right-click paste into PSP.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

If you want to remain in Essentials then you can do Edit > Paste as new image.

However if you want to use the context menu then you must switch to the Complete Workspace.

Thanks!

I had no idea that I was in some kind of limited workspace. Switching to Complete has solved it.

It helps if the two are totally different colors, like Light Gray and Dark Gray.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

It would help a lot more if Corel (a) didn't make the Essentials workspace the default when the program is installed, and (b) at least popped up a warning window every time the Essentials workspace opens telling users that they are in the Essentials workspace which is crippled and won't give them access to all of the tools and options of the Complete workspace. The latter could also have two options, one to not show that window again, and the other to switch to the Complete workspace.

This type of complaint is commonplace in this forum, and should be completely unnecessary!
