VS2019 - Poor Sales?

Post by RobertOZ »

After closing VSX10, got the following upgrade offer to purchase VS2019 Ultimate for AU$51.00, sales must be bad to offer it so cheaply

I don't know about poor sales (I don't know how you would even go about checking that), but I've been getting this panel after closing every version I have installed (x9 thru 2018) since 2019 was released in Feb this year. And in past years as well, altho the price varied. I always thought it was a routine encouragement to upgrade to the latest version whatever that was, rather than a flagging sales measure.

I have however mentioned it's existence to friends who have VS, and their response was to install an older version on a spare computer in order to get the upgrade bargain price, which never appears on the main website.

Ignore, close.

I am sure in the past there was something you could install or change to prevent those popups inviting you to upgrade.

The older the version the better the deal, X7 is offering 65%
If you do not see the deal view Help Messages
Like David these offers have been about for a few years, at one time I recall 70%

And its is the full Ultimate version even though Corel sell the Pro on their web site, I suppose a loyalty deal for existing customers
