Roto Pen-stright line and delete path

VS 2019 image of 16:9 aspect ratio.Here is my workflow for creating a straight line in Roto Pen.My questions are- is this the easiest way and how do you delete a path you are working on or one you do not want.

1 Drag Roto Pen onto image
2 Double click image in time line
3 Select customise filter
4 Draw short line, release mouse, draw another short line, release mouse. 1st line is purple dashes, 2nd line is yellow.
5 Select 2nd line, it turns red, circular cursor flashes at end of line
6 Place mouse cursor on red line and drag to extend and obtain a straight line.
7 Now have a long straight purple dashed line marked with a number 1 and a short yellow line after it as number 2
8 How do I delete number 2 yellow line ?
9 Without deleting the yellow line I then click next
10 Now the 1st long line turns yellow and the 2nd line is purple dashes
11 I select a path style
12 I select a plane symbol, increase size and reset route to change flight direction
13 Click apply
14 Plane flies along 1st long path that has style and disappears at the end of it ,the 2nd short line still shows

I've had something similar with rotopen - and apart from being unable to delete an unwanted track line, I was unable to increase the size/width of the track lines or the travel icons: the standards ones I thought were just too small for a larger screen display. And still do. Which is why I made the point with painting creator in this post, also about rotopen, several years ago.

However, from 2018 onwards, the painting creator function has only partially worked (been posted about but it seems I'm a lone actor with the error): use it on a single item eg a map when VS is first started, works OK, but try to use it on something in a vsp - fails consistently, doesn't crash Vs but the paint creator box just doesn't open as it should.
