Video distortion after importing

Post by ToaKopaka »

Hi,

I've recently started using Corel Video Studio Pro 2019 and I've encountered the following problem:
When I import a video (mp4) into Corel it distorts the righthand edge of the video. It seems to be duplicating the middle of the video on the edge. I've tested this with a few files with the same result. I've attached a screenshot

If anyone knows what's causing this or what I'm doing wrong, please could you let me know.

Thanks.

Sorry but I don't see any distortion or duplication in your screenshot. Perhaps if you were to give us the full screen shot?
Also post the properties of the source video and the output video.

I can see the distortion which is tiny, about 1 mm wide up against the far right side of the preview screen. But I don't know what is causing it. But canuck's request for information about the video is a valid one.

It looks like it is a graphic picture. Some graphic programs tend to have a problem with the screen size (1920x1080 pixs) and its placement in the standard video format.

Sorry, here's a better screenshot of the distorting.

The video is 852 by 480. 24 frames per second. 14892 kbps bitrare. I created in on Moho.

It plays fine without the distortion on the default video player. But as soon as I import it, the line of distortion appears (aka before I make any modifications, export the video, or even place it in the timeline).

The correct size should be 720x480
