Videostudio x9 will not create Mpeg4 or AVCHD

Post by Irishrose »

Hello,
I am using VideoStudio x9.

The project was created using jpeg images and AVCHD mts video clips. I've created this type of project many times without issues.
When attempting to create an mp4 of the project, VideoStudio locks up at 30% completion with message stating VideoStudio has stopped working. Basically the program crashes. When attempting to create an AVCHD disk the program also crashes.

The program was able to create an mp2 but viewing of this format is far less than ideal.

I've checked for program updates, there are none. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the software program.

Any suggestions as to how I can correct the issues to enable the program to create the mp4 and AVCHD disk? I have attempted using the mp2 but find the finished product of poor quality. This was done by opening a new project and inserting the mp2 then straight to creating the mp4 & AVCHD.

Short of starting over, I'm stumped.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Hi Irishrose
I would suspect the content of your timelines at 30% mark / ish
Whats on the timeline at that point and what edits have you applied to those clips

I recall many moons ago someone using Reverse video along with Speed / Time-lapse that messed things up.
