Vitascene V3 - Some filters are missing

Post by Airone »

Hello all,

it's just a few days since I installed Videostudio Ultimate 2019 and I'm already using it in full time. But now I wanted to use the Vitascene video filters, but I realized that some (example tilt-shift) are not present. Why? Is it possible to download and install them?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Airone

What version of Video Studio were you previously using?
For 2018 Vitascene used version 2, and 2019 appears to be updated to V3.

I have looked but cannot find “tilt-Shift” in either 2018 or 2019, if you can provide a screen shot showing Tilt-Shift may help?
If you are using an earlier version then it may be possible to copy the Vitascene across to 2019, hopefully would work?

Post updated
Although my library shows 2018 as using version 2, it is actually Version 3.0.259
I checked 2019, 2018, X10, X9, an X7 all are using the same version 3.0.259

Trevor, when you installed 2019 it likely over wrote the previous lower versions. I have VS2018 loaded and Vitascene is version 2.0.244.

However, I also have VS2018 and VS2019 loaded on a different box. Those Vitascene versions both are 3.0.259 - VS2018 version was updated when I installed 2019.

However, neither version as tilt-shift.

Thanks Gary
I suspect you are correct but strange that my VS 2018 library shows V2.0, yet using Vitascene shows 3.0.259
We do know however that installing 2019 has affected earlier versions in some way or another.
Most confusing and a little annoying

Like you I cannot find Tilt-Shift

Hi all,

At this link (https://vimeo.com/23010488) there is a video tutorial that explains how to apply the Vitascene V2 tilt-shift filters (#620 #630 #631 #638) to a movie. In this case Vitascene is installed inside Adobe Premiere, but this should not be influential on the existence or not of a Vitascene filter. Furthermore, by watching the video, you can clearly see the list of filters existing in the Vitascene application and the tilt-shift filters are some of those that are missing in the version contained in VideoStudio Ultimate 2019.

Hi Trevor -

That is correct and is as programmed. Those are just labels in the application and not read from the Vitascene application. It could be labeled Mickey Mouse but launch Vitascene 3.

The VS version is a light free addon. You could ask proDAD if the full package (or the proDAD Lite version) will work in VideoStudio. The full package is $599 USD and the LE version is $199 USD.
