Workspace
I am new to photo editing and Paintshop pro, one thing I find hard to grasp is the Canvas at the initial start up or if you want to change canvas in work space how and where can one learn the relevance of all the different sizes and application therein to use them ?

Activate the Complete workspace.
Go to File / Preferences / General Program Preferences
Click on Tabs
Check the Manage, Adjust or Edit by default (your choice)
Check "Keep last view"
On each next launch, PSP will open with your default settings
You may display the Welcome screen with the "Home" icon on top.
