I know you guys are trying to keep market share, but my goodness! The sheer number of ads coming through is SICKENING!
While I hadn't uninstalled Paintshop, it is seldom used unless I need to scan in an image. Then last week, I made the mistake of using Video Studio and the ads went from occasionally showing up when I used the programs to showing up randomly throughout the day.
Rather distasteful in my opinion.
First it was the licensing that led me to look for a different imaging program. Succeeded, and am far happier with its results but it doesn't allow me to scan images from inside of the program.
The version of Video Studio I have is sufficient for what I do, so will probably keep using it, however, I don't need 15-20 popups a day telling me about your "specials". Prices aren't all that impressive (saved $20 by changing photo editors instead of upgrading to your latest offering), and I know where to find you if I need something you sell.
So, how do I stop the flood of popups without uninstalling EVERYTHING from Corel?

Dijenga; We feel your pain, but you might try addressing these concerns directly to Corel, in addition to this forum, which is not run by Corel. I just simply block all communications coming in from Corel.

Stopping the ads is why I joined this forum. Any ideas of a vendor where I can buy software from a company who respect their customers?

And as you said at the beginning you made the mistake of using Video Studio, so that may be where the adds are coming from as well.
Have you posted in the Videostudio forum as there may be additional places where adds can be removed / turned off.

Sounds good but this is coming from Paintshop Pro. So Corel's vodeo studio is a scam? Sounds like I need to do my busines with Adobe.

I assume you have disabled the Messages Preferences via Help for all Corel products.
Each time I ran PSP X7 I get a message when closing the program, deselected the above and now no message..........
There is also an option from your Corel Account – Communication Preferences
https://account.corel.com/accounts/user ... unications
Both those may do the trick otherwise……..
Firewall, should not need to do this but as a very last option
Tweaking the Firewalls settings to disallow Corel to access the internet, although that would also stop any update notifications, and possibly affect the programs function.
Then I assume you are running an older program that is up to date and needs no additional service packs.
Some notifications may be beneficial for discounts when upgrading to the latest versions.
I do get the occasional popup but it does appear that some users are bombarded with these notifications, I do not understand why that should be?
Windows 10 does display Notifications to the lower right of the desktop, that is annoying and not just Corel, i turned off that notification option a long time ago.

Re: Ads have come back with a VENGEANCE!!!
I have PSP x6 to 2018. Since PSP 2020 has been released I have been bombarded with announcements. Since I downgraded from Win-7 to Win-10 (still free) I see my "announcements/offers in the lower right corner of my display. I see these messages every time I close a Corel-registered product (PSP X, XI, x4, x6-x10). I concluded we all get them: all of us registered users get the "benefit" of these offers with our registration. The offers can be ignored -- not like the dunning messages from a subscription-provider.lata wrote: . . . Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Go to windows Settings – System - Notification and Actions
Choose which notifications you wish to receive, as I said I simply turned the Get Notifications to Off and I conclude I do not get notifications popping up lower right of my desktop.
As a test I have now turned that on again but its Windows 10 that seems to want to run my life.
If you are seeing notifications through the programs, set your message preferences for each program.
Earlier today I set Message Preferences for PSP X7 and now no nagging popups for me to upgrade when I close the program.
