Why isn't VS 2019 Ultimate compatible to Newblue FX??

I decided to purchase a more powerfull pc and took the plunge to upgrade to VideoStudio 2019 Ultimate. I was able to get it installed easily but some of my Newblue Fx Plugins couldn't be installed. I managed to install Newblue Essentials 6 and my Newblue Transitions such as Newblue 3D Explosions, MotionBlends, 3D Transformations. But when I tried to Install Newblue Film Color, Essencials 3 and Art effects I couldn't. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled VS 2019 Ultimate, run the VS2019 CleanUp Tool twice to see if it works without success. Is there any user here facing this same issue regarding installing Newblue Fx??

Sorry. I was also working through the PaintShop Pro (PSP) forum this morning, and got things mixed up. But my question remains: which was the last version of Video Studio where the NewBlue filters worked.

I ask because I have just tried installed the Essentials III package which I bought some time ago though had never installed on this computer. (I don't have the Film Color or Art Effects.) And though I directed it to install in VS, it doesn't show up in VS 2019, 2018 or X10. I also tried removing the 22.0 folder in C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64) but it still doesn't show up. Nor is there a reference to NB Essentials 3 in any of the vft_plug folders of the three versions I mentioned.

Berry, before I upgraded to VS 2019 Ultimate I had the X10 Ultimate and all my extra NewblueFx worked fine. I have many NewblueFx plugins and Transitions I have purchased some years ago from Newblue company. Now, I feel frustrated because I was hoping to have all these NewblueFx installed on the newest VS 2019 Ultimate, like I used to have on my old VS X10 Ultimate. Now, I'm at a dilemma. I will consider it if I should keep up with VS 2019 or if I claim my refund since I'm still withing the 30 day refund policy. Anyway, thank you for letting me know that I'm not the only one having issues with VS 2019.

Yes, I also bought Essentials 1 through to VI quite a few years ago. In 2014 NewBlue even upgraded purchased versions to 64 bit. But recent versions of VS have, as you know, come with some of these free, plus Essentials VII. That's why I only tried to install Essentials III as I had not bothered before.

As I said, on this computer, Essentials III does not appear in any of the three versions of Video Studio I have (X10, 2018 and 2019). That doesn't greatly concern me since I probably would not be using what appears in it. Interestingly enough, though, as you will be aware the installation routine for the NB filters asks if you want to install the filter not only in VS, but also in Cyberlink Power Director and Magix Movie Edit Pro, both of which I have (PD 16 and Movie Edit Pro Premium 2019). And both now have NB Essentials III showing and available in their FX folders and on-screen. So clearly something has gone wrong with Corel.

I have just turned on an older computer where I had installed VS X7, X8, X10 and 2018. And all of them show the Essentials III package. Like this computer, that computer also runs Win 10 in case you might think this is a Win 10 problem. But I wonder if something has happened between Corel and NewBlue since I installed those filters on the older computer...?

I also am unable to install, Essentials 111 and V1 nor Film Effects in VS2018 or 2019, VSX10 was the last version I successfully installed my New Blue packages

Now this is getting ridiculous, it has taken me nearly all day to reinstall VS2019 on the laptop and actually manage to get past the splash screen, but now in the FX filters of VS2018, New Blue Essentials packages III and VI plus NB Film Effects are available and usable, not had these showing for a long time.
Currently reinstalling VS2019 on the desktop, so will see what happens

VS2019 22.3.0.436 has been successfully installed on the Win 7 desktop, however VS2018 fails to launch, giving the dreaded Corel VideoStudio has stopped working

No, it means I own those packages and whilst they are showing in the vft_plug folder, they have only just appeared in the FX folder of VS 2018

Oh, perharps this is good news. If VS 2018 is compatible to those Newblue Fx plugins I will install my VS 2018 back.

But Weaver, does that include any NewBlue filters which you bought, as opposed to those which came as part of the VideoStudio package?

I cannot remember exactly, as in the years I purchased several filter packages also from NB, and they were also many integrated originally in VS ( the VS discovered the other packages somehow and they were integrated. I used regularly one of the Burger vfx. I recognized after some upgrades that some NB filters dissapeared and some new came with the UPG. I think it was in X7, when the upgrade dissabled many of my old filters. I contacted that time Corel and they send me some batch file ( or similar) which integrated my earlier purchased filters. My recent VS2018 has definitively more NB filters as I had in X7 ultimate
I do not know, is there somewhere a list of filters and effects which come in packages from Corel? If there is any I can check what is there from Corel and what from my other sources. As I remember in the past I had to copy some vfx files into the Corel vfx folder to make them work. Recently in VS2018 I did not find this problem yet.
When I am already here, i just remember that one ( favorite) transition is missing already since X7. In the X6 it was there, is there a way to get that transition from the X6 into the newer versions?
