Importing project from x9 to x10

Post by LBRESLOW »

I would like to get rid of some of the software I have in my computer. I currently have x8, x9 and x10 with active projects in all three of them. Is it as easy as just opening my project that I am working on in x8 into x10 and x9 into x10 in order to make that transition?

I have also purchase Ultimate 2019 and cannot install it, I imagine, because I have the other three versions installed.

Plus, I have just purchased a new computer and have to transition my projects into that computer as well. Since all of these projects are active do you have any tips on how to make this transition work seamlessly for me without loosing my links? Big project for me and would appreciate any advise before I mess things up!!

Thank you, in advance!

In principle yes, but have a look at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64905#p364914

VS X5 to 2019 all work on my system, i.e. different versions of VS can co-exist.

Successful automatic relinking depends on ensuring that you don't move the source files around.

There should be no reason why you cannot install the new program, other programs should not affect that installation
Can you give details of any error messages or what you are trying to do to I install the program.
