Rendering roblem-Gross

Post by pepegota »

I shot 4k (3840x2160) video and created a project with it from my Panasonic FZ 2500 camera. VS 2019 will not render it.
It just stays at 0%. I created a smart package and I am now transcoding to AVCHD, which I should have used to begin with.
Does anyone at Corel test these thing?

Isn't this the same problem that you complained about in viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64222 ?

At the end of viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64222&start=20 you stated that "The computer is the problem." Have checked on another computer this time?

This is not the same problem as it renders lower res MP4 video. It is 4k that is the problem. I found that because of the high res it stays on 0% for quite awhile and then gets going.

I also found that it takes ages for a 4K render to start, and then takes ages too to finish. I recently did a roughly 90 second project which took around an hour to render. But the end result was good.

My 20 minute project crashed at 25% They (Corel) need to address this issue. 4K is gaining acceptance.

I routinely render 4K videos - sometimes they render and sometimes they don't. However, this is no different than my experience rendering FHD videos in VS. As you gain experience working with VS, you'll find various issues but keeping saying that "They (Corel) need to address this issue" does nothing unless you open a ticket with Corel to make them aware of your issue. Did you open a ticket?
