I'm using Paint Shop Pro 2019 on an LG UD58 4K monitor. The drivers are current, and I have Windows 10 scaled to 225 %.
Everything in PSP looks crisp, clean, and accurate...except for the Open dialogue window.
Attached is a link to the image, because for some reason, I cannot post inline images to this Forum.

As you can see, the icons are spaced too far apart, and the navigation icons on top are too tiny.
I thought PSP was compatible with a 4K display? This anomaly has me uneasy.
Has anyone had this problem, and can you advise me on a resolution (no pun intended)?
Thank you in advance.

FWIW I have a 4K computer and 4K 32 inch monitor set for 150% and get what you get. I guess I have gotten used to it. Not sure that the thumbnails are too far apart, though I suppose they could be. But certainly the navigation icons are extremely tiny, even on a 32 inch screen...
I'm not sure you can do anything about it, though. I would be interested to hear any ideas, however. But the increases in sizes in PSP 2018 and text on the main PSP workspace screen in PSP 2019, were probably as far as Corel could go.
I also thought the Open window was part of Windows rather than PSP... However, on thinking about it, when I use Open in other programs (e.g. Adobe Photoshop Elements), I get much closer spacing between the thumbnails, though those icons are much the same size as in PSP, or a tiny bit larger... I normally would not notice this because I usually have those Open pages set to show lists rather than icons. And the list entries are all correctly (and closely) spaced. But it *does* indeed seem that Corel has some further work to do in this regards.

I just upgraded to a 27" 4K display, and went to 175% windows 10 magnification. Several tools dialog windows are messed up. The one I remember now is "Adjust Fill Light/Clarity". Several of the buttos and/or selectors were overlapping each other.
I don't have a solution yet.

Re: PSP 2019 with 4K monitor: [Open] dialogue box elements i
Any time you set Windows fonts to display at more than 100% you are asking for trouble. I gave up on it because many apps do not have 3elastic textboxes. Oh, I tried on my 11 Firefox thems, but even I could not catch them all, and I tried.
The best thing you can do is set your fonts to a larger point size (typographic "points" not pixels). One nice thing about PSP 2019 is that both fonts and icons can be set for Small, Medium and Large. In PSP 2018 you can only set icons to Small, Medium and Large (I use the large).

Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Thank you for your input, all!
I've since downgraded back to a 24" HD monitor, as the 4K jump wasn't necessary.
Therefore, I retire this topic.

Sad. And I can only repeat that on my 32 inch 4K monitor, I have increased the scale to 150% with no trouble, and with no overlays appearing in any of my programs, including PSP. That's not to say, though, that some of the icons couldn't be larger!!
