I am trying to import into VS2019 this overlay free sample

1. 1 cannot see it in my desk top after downloading it.
2. When I browse to where the file has been unzipped and select open a file format mismatch window shows with the message
“unable to open file…..

Hi Ken,

Do not have an issue downloading the Multi-color Confetti_04.mov, can only suggesr you try downloading again

I, too, get the file mismatch error in several program including VS2018, VS2019, Power Media Player and Movies & TV (Win10). Opens in VLC and Windows Media Player.

It opens fine in VS2018. Ensure that you have the Quicktime codec installed or convert the .mov file to another format that you have the required codec installed.

Check the browser setting to see where downloads are configured to go.

I have 13 other .mov files in the animation gallery all of which play.

That did it! Reloaded codec, now works.

Download from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL837?locale=en_US

Run QuickTimeInstaller (run as administrator), do custom and on the Product Features window leave QuickTime Essentials selected and DESELECT the rest, X out by selecting drop list then click on Entire feature will be unavailable. Finish the installation.

The codec will be loaded but the QT Player and Optional Features will not be loaded.

Hmm, not sure other than try downloading again. Could also install full QT then go back to modify and remove the Player and Optional stuff.

I retried, got the same result
Tried again but selecting the top two items-got the same “the file”
Dialog box .
Tried again , selected “entire feature will be installed” option of top item. Got same result.
Thanks for your patience, how do I install the full prog then remove the rest of the stuff ?

Once installed, rerun the installation. Three options come up: Modify, Repair, or Uninstall. Select Modify then deslect (X) items as in my previous screen shot.

Your screen shot is different from my version. You would click the third option "If existing file is complete..." then OK and follow any directions that are given.

That image has nothing to do with the actual installation but is a message from your IDM download manager that you have already downloaded the file
