Lessening Glare Effect From Video Footage

I'm editing video footage in VS Pro X9, and there's unwanted sunlight glare in a sequence (I know, I should have used a lens-hood, but....)

Are there any VS Pro editing Filters that can help lessen the effect of such glare, without harming the overall sequence?

It rather depends on where the glare is and what effect it's having. If you post a screen grab showing the glare, then useful suggestions may follow.

There is no miraculous fix for videos with blown highlights but try some of the FX filters including 'Video Tune-up' and 'Brightness & Contrast'.
