I bought the upgrade to 2019 to get the new selection mode discussed in this video:

1. I don't see it (Auto)
2. Just touching the image with Smart Selection freezes up Paintshop Pro, completely unresponsive, won't even close. I have to go to Task Manager to kill the task.
I found another thread about Smart Selection locking things up and added a response. It's nothing that's become corrupted because it's a fresh install and it was the very first thing I tried (not inspiring a lot of confidence I might note).
Anyhow, how can I do these Auto Selections? Where did that mode go?

Welcome to the forum.
Are you in Essentials or Complete workspace? With PSP open, right click virtually anywhere on screen. In the dialogue box which appears, click on Workspace, then choose Complete.
