PROBLEM DOWNLOADING

Post by BenHer »

HI all. I run a PC with Windows 10 and Edge. I have bought PSP online and got an e-mail with a link to download the application and license. The email has a ´button´with a link to Corel.
However when ´clicking´the button I get an error message ´You need a new app to open this PCUCMD´. Has anyone solved this problem? I have been in contact with Corel support but no solution yet.

Try installing another browser eg Firefox from
https://ninite.com/

and then try clicking the same link in your email (open your email with Firefox) and see if you get that same message.

I did a Google search for You need a new app to open this PCUCMD and nothing showed up, although a lot of stuff showed up with quite similar - but not the same - errors. Are you sure that you posted the error correctly, including spaces, etc?

However, when I just put the word PCUCMD into Google I did get this link:

https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forum ... sprotocols

Does the info there give anyone any ideas?

Also, there is a thread in this forum from the year 2010 where a user couldn't install PSPX3, and the log showed that there was an issue with PCUCMD when trying to get PSP working. The solution was that Corel sent that person a disc with the program and PSP installed properly from the disc. That thread is here:
