I have text scrolling up on a photo background. I didn't do the whole Star Wars thing, just text going straight up. Problem: when I play the clip, the background shows up but the text delays for about 5 seconds before it begins to show up and begin its crawl. Is there a way to make the text appear sooner on the background, or to make it begin its journey from the middle of the background picture?
I tried clipping a few seconds from the text part on the timeline, but that just made it go faster.

Re: Scroll text
Move the top of the text box farther up and begin the first line of text at the top of the text box.

Re: Scroll text
How did you make your scrolling text title - did you use one of the preset ones or did you make it from scratch using one of the other methods like "Customise Motion"
either way it's just a setting change
*IF* you used the preset title then first double click on the text box in the timeline to open the options panel - click on the 'Attribute' tab in the very top right corner should now see this
note the double 'T' icon which I have circled - click on it and you should see this
now click on the button in the centre of the left hand set - these two blocks set entry and exit modes for the text block
click OK and return to editing - when you play the title sequence your text should now start in the middle and scroll up
If you used a different method to produce your scroll - or if that does not do what you want then we can use alternatives
