Video Studio X10 -Background Music Noise

I have been using this program for some time. The video I am working on is the 4th one this month and all have worked great up until now.

I have a particular piece of music I want to use for background. I have it in mp3 and wav format. The files all play perfectly outside of VSX10 from several locations on my hard drive but when I add the file to a collection of photos to set timings I get this pop at the beginning of play and then it has a low static sound the rest of the way through play.

1. I have played through photos with no music and there is no interference.
2. I have played through music with no photos and the music file plays perfectly as it does outside of the editor (as explained above)
3. I added the music file to photos using the music track and there is the interference again.
4. I added the music file to photos using the voice track and still interference.
5. I added a different piece of music in the music track to the photos and it plays fine.

I cannot figure out what is going on. I used this music file in original mp3 format for a video last May and had no problems. I need this video on Sunday June 12th!
