Overlay move, crop or scale at specific time?

Post by michaelveloz »

Hi there
I have a chroma-key video I'm showing in an overlay, and I have it scaled and showing in the right hand lower corner for most of the timeline. As the timeline draws to a close, I'd like the video in this overlay to move toward the center of the view, and get larger (change scale). I've tried doing this by splitting the video and moving the split part to the center at a point in time, but that breaks the chroma key (not sure why) and the move is not fluid looking at all.

I will explore pan and zoom, but that doesn't really perform scaling, so I can't effectively make the video image "larger" ..I could only zoom in, which is not what I want.

Any ideas?

"Customise Motion" will do all you want and more - right click on the overlay video and choose Customise Motion from the pop-up there you can scale .. zoom .. and move all around the screen

just add key frames along the bottom and change the settings at each key frame to show what you want to be happening at that time - the programme will do the rest
