Suggestion Regarding DNG Support

As many know, Adobe is proposing a radical price increase on their Photographer's bundle for Creative Cloud. AfterShot Pro 3 is a viable alternative to Adobe Lightroom, but in its current form it suffers from one problem, which is that it won't open or catalog DNG files created by Lightroom in the import process ("convert to DNG") or files created by the DNG converter. Many Lightroom users (including me) have relied on the DNG format and have large numbers of images stored in that format. In addition, Adobe usually updates the DNG converter quickly to support new camera models, and has support for many older models. Why not prioritize the support for the Adobe-created DNG, and make AfterShot Pro 3 truly an alternative to Lightroom at a time when many will be looking for one?
