Paint Shop Pro 2018 Text Tool Types One Word & Skips to end

Hello

I have Paint Shop Pro 2018 I hae both 32 and 64 bit installed . I have all the Corel patches, Windows and Dell updates.I have Windows 10 64bit .
I have looked through the forum and the forum search first .

I have had PSP 2018 running all this time. with no problem . But Today my text started acting silly . I am trying to type a sentence , It starts typing one word .. then it skips to the end of the document.. with only one word showing & the rest of words not showing .. it does this for all fonts .. except Arial font

Steps I have tried & didn't help:
1: Reset my default setting for the text tool.
2: Checked my spacing & align & Direction setting .. they look normal .
3: Reset my preference & workspace .
4: Cleared my cache ..

Do I need to uninstall & reinstall Paint Shop Pro . or is there a easy fix for it.
I am trying to hold off to get Paint Shop Pro 2020 . I tried Paint Shop Pro 2019 and did not see anything new for me to buy it.& I just got 2018 right before 2019 came out.

Have you paid attn to the Foreground and Background colors?

Thank you very much for the help, yes I have checked the foreground, and background colors and they are ok .. It has been giving me fits for a hour now .
I might go cook dinner and close psp and computer down and give it a rest and see what happens later ..

I have had PSP since Jasc PSP 7 this is something I have not seen before ..

I checked my Photoshop and the fonts is working ok there .... Hope I can figure it out. I have both PS and PSP but use PSP more .. that is what I started out with many moons ago .

I keep you all updated what is going on ..

Has the computer been powered all the way off (not sleep)? The reason I ask is that in PSP7, PSP9, PSP11, PSPx4, PSPx6-x10 -- all the PSPs I have used -- my PSP installations have not had this problem (PSPx10 is PSP 2018). So either your software got dinged somewhere along the line or it is something new.

No need to reinstall : maintain shift key down while starting the program. This will reset all to a post-installation state.

For the help, this is a strange problem, never had something strange happen

After my last post I tried to reset psp and that worked for about 2 or 3 hours . And the problem came back.

I finally did a backup of my psp files and re- install it and so far it is working ok ... if it comes back I will let you all know .
