Editing removes EXIF data
I edit jpegs produced by my Canon 6D MK 11 and 'save as', when I look at them in Canon's own Digital Photo Professional all the EXIF data is missing.

Do you have "Save EXIF" turned off?
1) Open Image
2) File -> Save As
3) Choose JPG as "Save As Type"
4) Click the "Options" button in the bottom right-hand corner
5) See "Save EXIF Information" checkbox under the "Encoding" frame
