Hi, just when you think you have your project done. I did read one post from the board from 2008 and did not seem to find the programs that they were talking about on my list.
I have attached 2 files of the programs hoping someone has run into this problem more recently? I did not have this problem in the last 2 previous versions of VS, but it is possible
one of the programs shown in the .jpg files has been added (though I do not think so)(Edited) I had restarted the computer, When I try the render I receive the usual message of " this action will take some time to render" then I get "The target device may have some problems please try again and reboot" Even if I reboot it does it still, then if I try to burn again I get "the burner is busy for another application? So now I am thinking that it is possibly in rendering to the device? Thanks Bruce
thanks Bruce

I had the same message, even with expert advice I could not get VS 2019 to burn a DVD without going via the .iso route.
When I previewed after rendering I clicked next to open the output tab.
Select create disc image only, delete all other options.
If create disc image does not show, click the chevrons on the right.
Browse to change location folder if required
Click More settings for burning icon bottom left, select drive and write speed-OK
Click burn to start burning to disc image.
To copy a disc image file to a DVD:-
Insert blank DVD
Go to Tools then click burn from disc image (iso)
In source disc image file in disc copying box, browse for and select source disc image iso file and select
In destination choose burner drive
Click on chevrons(more advanced setting) to select write speed (do not use high speeds) and set number of copies
Click preferences icon (bot left) to browse for and select working folder
Click copy.
The above workflow took ages to for me to sort, It may not be the correct procedure in every respect but all I can say is that it works for me.

Re: Target Device problems/Burner is busy/VS2019
Thanks, I did go that route (finally and after I figured it out lol) , but the fact is if the program does not work with going directly to a dvd then there is a glitch someone in the program or the link between it and the burner. Since I have two different burners, something is amiss. I am in contact with support and will see how they go. Only problem I have with them is the first thing is to re-install, with backing up your library and so on. The first thing I usually tell them is I have already cleaned the temp files and certain other things. I guess they have to complete step 1 before going further which is frustrating. I sent the screen shots of the problem, which actually shows little. When you click on the burn process and it gets ready to start there is something between handing it off to the burner. thanks appreciate it. I really had to get this burned, since I have been working on this project for about 3 months. If the iso is burning then there is not a problem with the burners.
thanks again
thanks again

I received another reply and that was their suggestion. Wondering if that is a problem they are aware of. Well they are now.
