Hello
I had a bunch of samples for sounds such as typerwriter, doorbell, etc.
However, only a few now show up.
They are not there and have disappeared. How can that possibly be?
Do I need to reinstall or is there a place I can dowload the free sounds?

Probably a new imstallation overwrote the original files. I always place these effects in separate folder, and copy the required ones into the work folder.
Many free sounds are available you have to search. There are also special noise collections with well sorted sounds. I am collecting them since several decades, so I cannot give you an actual link, but I am sure that google will offer you many.
