I am a user of VS2018 and have made many videos without problems. I just bought VS2019 for my grandson and when showing him how to get started I noticed that ripple editing does not seem to work. This is a big problem and I hope someone can help. His computer is a MS surface book 2.
Thanks is advance.

Re: 2019 ripple editing
If you bought the boxed version, or downloaded the installation some time ago, you need to update immediately. Go to Help > Check for Updates. It gets a bit silly, but the update will load in the background. Then you should have version 22.2.0.396.
The initial version of VS 2019 introduced "gap" editing -- allowing gaps in the main timeline -- which in effect broke ripple editing. But this has been mostly fixed with the update.
