How Interesting. The color Wheel

Post by ehume »

I was exploring PSP when it occurred to me that I could not find the color circle I was used to seeing. When one clicks on the Materials palette, one is faced with a choice of sliders (I like that), HSL Map and one's choice of Palettes. You can build a custom palette and I don't yet know if any of the new colors one imports can be set to transparency.

But if I hover my mouse over the color it becomes a dropper. If I click on it, I get a choice of Wheel, Slider and Swatch. The Wheel is what I remember. What with the choices of various customizations, classic Material Properties, I got lost and could not remember where it was. Ah well. All is well that ends well. I just wish that the color Wheel was one of the choices up top when one opens the Materials palette.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

So in other words when you open the Materials Properties box you would like to choose between the Classic color wheel and the modern color wheel at that point rather than using File > Preferences > General Program Preferences > Palettes and ticking Use Classic Materials Properties.

I believe they want the wheel in the materials palette itself. Not just in the materials dialog. He doesn't like the square method of choosing colors

Nope/Yup. I do not want to see a classic anything. But I would like a fourth choice among the buttons. Right now I can choose between Swatches, HSL Map and Sliders. I want to keep those three, and add to them Wheel or Color Wheel as a choice for picking out a color.
