What do you mean problem clip, canuck? All my video clips are fine. The only problem is with the results rendered with Corel VS Pro 2019 and it's editing preview. The 3rd link in my original post up top is where you can see the problem video results and what is happening. We're trying to figure out what is causing the terrible editing preview and rendering results it has.

Sorry "problem clip" was the wrong expression. I meant any clip you are using that is rendered incorrectly. That way we can try to duplicate your results.
I have no problems previewing/rendering any video clip that VS accepts and recognizes.

Well it appears that this one goes unresolved. I've done a complete uninstall of the software. I reinstalled it and on a fresh installation, nothing done by me, the software won't play, preview, or render video clips correctly. The results are still the original awful scrambling and skipping. These are the same clips which work fine in everything else including other video editors.

I'm giving it today for a solution or giving up on the product after. This is getting me nowhere and Ive already lost a week of the trial time dealing with it.

Thanks for all your input for what it's worth.

It's too bad that you can't be bothered to upload a short clip that we can work with.

musicalhelp wrote:Here we go.. VLC plays all my video clips beautifully and others. The Corel made video of course still plays just as bad as before. So we conclude that my clips are ok; problem is with Corel, not my clips. Original mp4s are 1920 x 1080. Corel video made at 1280 x 720. Both 30 fps

Why do you downgrade your 1920x1080 format to 1280x720? There is no reason to do that.

Don't try to make me out to be some kind of bad guy because this software is faulty and you people can't help that. You've offered nothing in the way of any help. All you have done is attempt to make me look stupid and my material defective, both uncalled for inaccuracies. Not once have you addressed this as if something might be wrong with the software; no, it's all my fault. Forget that idea. I didn't make the damn thing. You refuse to get it through your head that my clips are not the issue. There is nothing wrong with them as proven by every other video app on the market. The Corel software is simply messed up, simple as that. I see many posts on these forums indicating just that as well. You want to see the clips again? The link's up there ^.

For the record, I've made the same video with Magix and it came out beautiful. Both are pretty lame apps which do very little anyway. For one, Corel has no support. Tutorials familiarize one with the software but tell nothing of how to do anything. It all started with problem on Corel's website with the download links not working and I had to contact the chat for a link that would to a faulty one. When something isn't right from the start, it's usually a sign that it's not worth the trouble. Hell, ten years ago Windows Movie Maker did more and it was free.

Remark what you will. This is your thread now. I'm done.

Dear Friend

Many of us use on daily base Corel ( at least up to 2018, I do not like the 2019), and all our films are good or very good. I use also ocassionally Magix as well. It is far not better, than Corel. Corel at least in my case up to X7 was far better as the Magix at the same time, more versatile, better effects and goodies. I had never such effects on my videos as you have, that is why many of us wanted to try to simulate your case. If you are not able to provide few clips, it is your problem, but in this do not expect any help.
Probably there is a conflict with some other programs. ( I had such issue in the past) but remotely nobody can tell you the reason. Especially as you mentioned, you have already a problem in your preview screen this means a serious problem on your system, but probably not with the Corel SW.

VS is far from perfect but it's not the abomination that you are making it out to be. The fact that you continually refused to provide a short clip that folks can test leads one to imagine that you're not really interested in finding the problem rather that you simply want to trash VS and tout another NLE.
