I am trying to burn a series of mp4 files on Blu-Ray. The total file size on my disc is just under 3gb. When I put them into VS x10 suddenly the files are huge and will not fit on a Blu-Ray disc. I have tried searching the forums here but file and size aren't searchable terms and there are over 200 pages with Blu-Ray, way more than I want to sort through.
So, any ideas?

Re: Blu-ray and file size
Welcome to the forum!
First off, can you right click one of the clips in the timeline of your project, and copy all its properties here, please. I suspect that the problem is going to turn out to be your original videos are using a low bitrate, while the default bitrate for a Blu-Ray will be much higher. And in video terms, a much higher bitrate means a much large file. So you would need to edit the Blu-Ray bitrate down until the project is less than 25 GB (the amount of video that can fit on a single layer Blu-Ray disc).

Here is a screenshot of the properties of one of the files. The rest are the same.

Re: Blu-ray and file size
How many of these file types are you trying to put on the BD? What is the total time of the project? Have you tried to lower the bitrate when burning to BD?
You show a very low bit rate for your source files. When converting to BD video the bitrate will be 15 times or more higher and the final video size will exceed the BD capacity.

Re: Blu-ray and file size
As a guide my AVCHD.MTS video using 16800 Kbps creates a file at 8Gb for one hour of footage.
Effectively I could get 3 hours to a 25Gb BD
Higher rates are available which increase the file size proportionally.
