Hey,
I have a finished project in Corel VideoStudio x10 and I'm having trouble rendering the movie. I wonder if it's possible to convert the project file to open it in some other software? Or perhaps there's a software out there that let's you export vsp files into mp4 outside of the VS?
Converting .vsp file / Opening in other software?

Not a chance I'm afraid , .vsp stands for VideoStudio Project and will only open in Videostudio
Perhaps if you told us exactly what problems you are having with the render someone will be able to provide a solution

Heh, I've been trying to resolve this for days now, thus my 2 previous posts here on the forum.BJC wrote:Perhaps if you told us exactly what problems you are having with the render someone will be able to provide a solution
Simply when I try to render the video as MPEG-4 in CorelVS the music gets destroyed (metallic sound appears and a lot of cracks as if the audio was recorded with cheap mic even though the audio file is crisp mp3 with 320kbps)
It doesn't happen when I render as AVI or even XAVC S, but AVI is not the format I want to get and the latter is quite big, so I'm trying to get a simple mp4 with H.264, but can't.
I've tried to create short project with the same mp3 track in other softwares and export it there with the same settings, it works fine.
Only CorelVS creates some problem that seems to be out of user's control. And the only exception is that CorelVS doesn't allow export of the audio at 320kbps with MPEG4, only 256kbps. When I tried in other software, I have no problem to render audio at the higher bit rate with mp4, so I suspect that's where the problem lays, because all the other settings I set the same. I tried to convert the mp3 to WAV and render it, but the problem is still occuring.
Here are the settings I use that mess up the audio:

Sorry I must have missed your previous posts ... but my solution to your problem would be to render out an .avi file which can be opened in any other video editing program and then output from there with the properties you require ... or even use a video converter program like Format Factory (or any other you have) to convert direct from avi to mp4

Or you can convert/rerecord the MP3_320 kbps in WAV format, and add it to VS. The quality remains the same and VS has no problems with WAV files.

It seems reasonable, but does one lose a lot of quality with double rendering like that/conversion?BJC wrote:Sorry I must have missed your previous posts ... but my solution to your problem would be to render out an .avi file which can be opened in any other video editing program and then output from there with the properties you require ... or even use a video converter program like Format Factory (or any other you have) to convert direct from avi to mp4

Tried it. Converted mp3 with audacity, but the final effect is still the same. Also tried to export my music track as audio only (WAV) in VS and putting it to the timeline but that didn't work either.
