Made a 1-minute video with 7SE DVD, tell me about 8

Post by rustyjulie2005 »

If you saw another thread I posted, 7 SE DVD came with my Firewire card. I was able to download a minute or two worth of video from my camcorder, edit it a little, added a .jpg in there too, burned it to a DVD, all without reading instructions or anything in under 30 minutes or so.

For a supposedly reduced version of the full program, I was impressed by 7. It seems like you could do a lot. I got an error message or two, but no big deal. I didn't download any patches or anything since the 8 should be arriving sometime this week, and I think I had one of the disc burn settings wrong anyway. But just sorta playing around with it, I found it pretty intuitive myself. Impressed to say the least.

That being said, my computer is a 2400 AMD, 256MB ram, 7200RPM hard drive and it handled 7 SE DVD just fine with no lags or delays or anything. Is it reasonable to think 8 will perform similarly? Although a little more RAM never hurts :) And what does 8 do that 7 doesn't?

Just wanted to say again, the program is good as advertised. Well done! I can see why you all like this program so much.

Instead of Version 8, I would go with Version 9 :D

Download the Trial to see what you can do with it (it should be fine installed right along side your current version).

Here's a comparison chart between 9 and 8 (not sure where to get a comparison chart between version 7 and 8 ) :
VS9 vs. VS8

hi

Dont go to 8

If you upgrade----go to 9

You will benifit by more ram 512 minimum.

Check the system requirements on the ulead site.

If you are not going to 9 then stay with 7
