Trying to use a logitech c920 for capture, and a variety of microphones (including the one onboard the c920) for audio. Capture goes okay, but then audio is out of sync with video. It starts off correct then quickly goes out of sync.
I do not have sync issues when using some other software to capture from this webcam. Also, I don't have sync issues when using Corel and another web cam. But I want to use the C920!
I've read other posts that say "make sure program timeline settings match video settings", but I can't quite grasp what it is I'm supposed to be be looking for. When I look at project properties I see a list of profiles, but I don't know what to do at that point .. none of these profiles match the "Format" option that shows up on the capture screen (which shows something like MPEG2 HD, which is not in the Project Format drop down).
Any direction on what I might try would be greatly appreciated. This is a popular webcam, I have to believe it can be used and the sound kept in sync
Also, any insight you might give on how the whole FPS thing works, would be great. For example, does the capture software tell a webcam what frame-rate it wants, or does the webcam pick its frame rate and tell the capture software? I wish I understood these things better.
