As you are aware I have no problems using the home and end options
I have just installed the program today from a new download
That installed the current version without need for the service patch
So re-installing the program should give you the latest version, if you are intending to install again, I would download all installation files as new, then install.
and if you still have a problem then i would suspect your keyboard set up?

Normally, I would have reinstalled the program but, since it was so buggy initially, I assumed it to continue and jumped the gun.
