Installing the new VideoStudio Patch

Post by DB1 »

Hi,

I have tried installing the new VideoStudio patch, but when it comes to installing it says I do not have Videostudio 9 installed. I do however! Any ideas why this is happening and how to correct it?

Many thanks

Do you have a Trial version, or a Full version -- if Full, was it a retail box version, or the downloaded version?

Did you install to a custom directory path (jus taking guesses at what might cause the problem). And Are you the Administrator of the computer (in case it's a "rights" issue based on your sign on user id for your computer)

Its a full version downloaded from the Ulead site. I am the admin of the computer it is installed in, and I selected the default directories.

thanks for your help

When you installed originally, did you have to enter your Serial Number?

Also, just to be certain, which patch is it -- the one for VS9, or one of the VS9 card-specific patches? What is the date for the update patch on Ulead's Site?

Yes, I obtained and entered the licence key after the download.

The patch is the one for VS 9: File name: UVS9Full_Patch1_5in1.exe

The patch was downloaded from http://www.ulead.com/tech/vs/vs_ftp.htm and from Site 1 and is marked 2005/08/12

thanks

When you ran it, did you select from different languages? which language did you pick?

I would fill out a Tech Support form from Ulead's Support pages, and explain that you cannot install the update (let them know you have the downloaded Full version).
