Captured video not displaying properly in "Clips"

Hi,

I have captured some videos from a SONY DCR IP7E, and these came in fine. However when I preview the clips in "Clip" mode the playback is fragmented with lots of rectangles on the screen. However if I do the same in "Project" mode the playback is fine.

I have also played back the .AVIs in Media Player and also Adobe Premiere Elements - they are fine, so it is not the file or the capture that is causing problems.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I am using VideoStudio 9.

I have the same problem under VS8. But mine is with MPEG clips.
I thought it might be a codec issue, but doesn't explain why it works fine under "project" mode.
I have Panasonic GS150.

Any hints from anyone?
