Video+Audio on seperate tracks - transitions & keep sync?

Post by WorstCases »

Hello folks.

Can anybody help me here?

I have a single video clip (from the multiple camera editor) on the Video track and a synced Audio on an Audio track.
So far so good; or so synced :D .

I can perform remove-cuts and keep the sync by cutting Video and Audio at the same time.

I however am in need for a few transitions on this Video clip, but as soon as I insert a transition, my Audio-Video sync is gone.

Question:
Does anybody know the proper way to perform transitions and keep the Audio in sync?

This is how VS is working. You can add transitions in MCE
Or the proper way for transition is to use the overlay tracks. copy the clip you want to transition to and paste it to a second track and trim it's head/tail to overlap and place your transition on them.
