Hi Everyone!
I'm looking solution for a long-standing problem. I have a lot of brushes. Approx. 1000 pcs./folder.
When I want to choose one, I have to wait a minute for the drop down window. So annoying.
Is this the weakness of the program or should I do some hardware development?
See the performance of my machine here---->
I've been trying to put fewer brushes in folders, about. 500-700, but the drop down window that opens is still very slow.
Thanks for the tips.

You are heading the right way, but try going further try reducing the brushes in your folders to the bare minimum that comes with PSP and see what the timing is there.
If it is greatly improved then you will know where your problem lays. Then start adding your must have brushes a small group at a time and check and time how long and when the delay becomes problematic you will learn your/ the programs limit.
1000 brushes ? Even if you use your program every day that would mean three different brushes per day. Perhaps time to declutter.

Grand advice, but I might suggest asking a Corel coder if having so many brushes slows down a menu. OP - One thing you might try is to collect all your brushes in one folder without subfolders. Then with Preferences > File Locations... delete the lookin directories you currently use and replace with the all-in-one folder. Now, see how fast the menu drops down. Faster? Slower? You tell us.hartpaul wrote:You are heading the right way, but try going further try reducing the brushes in your folders to the bare minimum that comes with PSP and see what the timing is there.
