Is VSP2018 ready for prime time?

I just accepted an online offer for VSP2019 Ultimate FULL Version $39.99, + 2Yr Download -- Too low to ignore--Will keep in reserve for the future.
(There were previous questions, in other threads, about how the VSP2019 rollout was going, this may be an indicative answer?).

I am still using VSPX10 and have never installed my VSP2018 Ultimate FULL version ($49.99 at the time), also Too low to ignore--also was to keep in reserve for the future.

I am a very conservative program user and am reasonably happy with VSPX10, but the new features shown in the VSP2019 have me more excited about this FULL upgrade, and may give my unused VSP2018 to a friend.

I know VSP2019 is absolutely not ready, but is VSP2018 anywhere near as reliable as VSPX10??
Is VSP2018 ready for prime time? Would I be giving my friend a WHITE ELEPHANT?

The answer depends on what your friend would use it for. There are ongoing issues with VS2018 that only are encountered depending which features are used and what types of video clips are being processed. In short, VS2018 is not a "WHITE ELEPHANT" and it may serve your friend without any issues but only actual usage will answer that question.
