Just to let the community know - I had the same problem(s) and solved them while in conversation with the corel support myself:

Actually I had 2 problems:
1. on the first start the "performance check" screen stucked.
2. after opening the program and after a capture it is stuck on "generating video files"

Both problems has been solved:
1. For the stucked "performance check" delete the folder "%appdata%\corel\MultiCam Capture"
Upon deletion and restarting the program it is a blink of an eye going through "performance check"

2. stuck on "generating video files":
Open the file "%appdata%\corel\MultiCam Capture\settings.ini"
Set PerformanceLevel=0 instead of 2

restart the program and it should happily record and save your captures.
Note that, while having the problems, I had to open the task-manager and kill the MultiCamCapture.exe to truly exit the program.

Corel support staff added these 2 solutions to their internal knowledge base in case somebody else having those problems also but I thought it would be a good idea to share :D

Hi Duke
and welcome to the forums

Thanks for the thumbs up on that fix.

Post updated
Are you referring to MultiCam Capture Lite which is the version provided from purchasing Video Studio

Or the MultiCam Capture which is an upgrade to the full version, at a cost of course.

I'm referring to the full version of MultiCam Capture, but the fix should work on the Lite version, too.

Can someone help me as to where I can find "%appdata%\corel\MultiCam Capture" and "%appdata%\corel\MultiCam Capture\settings.ini". Windows 10 and I have this very problem of being stuck on Generating Video Files it just does not move and the only way to stop the program running is to reboot the PC. Help appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hi Gerry
The folder / files are here.
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Corel

The folder structure is hidden by windows, this can be changed / shown by viewing any folder – View Tab – check Hidden Items.

Otherwise the %appdata% should be typed into the Search box adjacent to the Start lower left, that will get you to the Roaming folder, then navigate to the Corel folder.

Many thanks, when I open the Corel folder I get two folders Messages and the other MultiCam Capture Lite. I already have show hidden files set in Control Panel/File Explorer Options. Am I missing something obvious here LOL ? Appreciate the help Trevor.

I also note that I cannot un-install as it simply does not appear anywhere as a Program.

Hi Gerry
If you locate your programs downloaded installation files you should find these folders \64bit\Ultimate\Setup\RunTime
To locate MultiCam Capture Lite.exe

If you double click that file it will prompt you to Modify, Repair or Uninstall, your choice but I would uninstall
Then running the file again to Install.

Post updated
Go to your Start menu Multi Cam Capture Lite – click to open the folder then a Right click to find the Uninstall option

Hi Trevor I have used the start menu option right clicked and selected uninstall. This takes me directly to Programs and Features/Uninstall or Change Program. The problem is that MultiCam Capture is not listed either on its own or under Corel, despite it being in the start menu and offering an uninstall option. I also have CCleaner Professional and that does not list MultiCam Capture as a program either. Its almost like a Phantom, its there to open and use; although its unusable because it sticks on generating video files so I am buggered. I can't modify it as above because the files do not show and I cannot uninstall it as it is not listed as an installed program. It's one of those hang on a minute why I jump out of the window moments. LOL :? :(

Hi
It will uninstall by running the MCCL installation file, you should find these folders \64bit\Ultimate\Setup\RunTime
To locate MultiCam Capture Lite.exe, double click this file, It does give the option to uninstall, at least it worked for me earlier today.

I must admit i did not use the start menu option, but will check that out later

Post updated
I have checked the start menu option and yes it did take me to Program and Features and I do see Multi Cam Capture Lite listed
Incredible as earlier today I did view Program and Features and I was sure MCCL was not listed, very strange.
However I have done a few re-installs today I wonder if that changed things.
I checked 2019 and 2020 which has different versions of MCCL although only one is installed.

Hi Trevor,

I have found that MCCL is part of Corel VideoStudio 2020 UItimate so I have uninstalled it and bingo MCCL has gone. Hopefully I can now reinstall 2020 Ultimate and MCCL will work properly. So fingers crossed.
I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the help.

The only solution for me was to Uninstall Corel VideoStudio 2020 Ultimate, clean the registry and reinstall. Obviously the MCCL gets uninstalled and reinstalled with the bundle. Now working perfectly :D
These things are sent to try us. Should mention I am running Windows 10 64bit Version 20H2. Onwards and upwards, best,
Gerry
