Printer issue

Hi,

I have an HP Office Jet Pro 7740, latest drivers. Whenever I try to print from PSP 2019 I get an error " Tab control failed to initialize" a mangled print dialog appears followed by a crash.
Sometimes I can print one page but the second will always crash.

This same issue existed in 2018

Any thoughts?

I can't give you a specific answer. But I would suggest that if you wish to print more than just 'basic' images and work then I would suggest a dedicated program such as QImage.

Are you using Print or Print layout ? Try both and see if it helps...

Is your printer connected bi Wi-Fi or USB cable ? Try both...

I have been using the print command, I will try the print layout.

I am connect via LAN, no other option.

Update: I tried print layout and have the same result, seems if I try to open setting or properties a second time PSP crashes. Seems this issue is persistent for several revs of PSP.

Unfortunately most of the topics I recall reading over the past couple of years at least about printer issues usually involve HP printers. I can only suspect that there is something about at least some HP printer driver software that PSP sometimes chokes on.

I recently installed CorelDraw and tried printing from Photo-Paint, it works just fine. So seems there is a solution, Corel just needs to want to fix it.
