Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to video editing and have one simple question. After editing my video, putting in a title page etc...I render it to MP4 and it works great except I get the file name printed on the bottom of the beginning of the video.
I make a nice title page only to have an ugly plain text "my prject name.mp4" on the first few seconds of the video.
How can I render this so I don't get that automatic file name on my videos.
Thanks in advance.
How to remove file name from rendered MP4 videos in X10?

Re: How to remove file name from rendered MP4 videos in X10?
Welcome to the forum.
I don't really have any idea why this is happening or how to stop it since, in all my years of editing, this has never happened to me. But I suspect we are going to need a little more information about your workflow before we can solve it. For instance, is the text actually embedded in the video while it is still in the timeline? Is it within the frame of the video or below the frame of the video? Did you originally add the text just to fill the starting place until you made your final title to replace it? Does any text appear in or under other clips in the timeline?
Can you do a small screen grab of the start of the timeline showing the text, and upload it here as an Attachment, so that we can get a better idea of what is showing. (When I insert an mp4 in the timeline -- or indeed any format video clip -- no text shows either at the beginning of the timeline or anywhere else in the project, unless I insert it as a Title...)

I suspect you are viewing your rendered video using the VLC player, and one of it's options is to display the path\filename of the playing clip on screen for a short while when starting. That name is not in the rendered clip, as you may see if you imported it back to VS and just played it.
And you can turn the on-screen display (OSD) of path\filename off - select tools, preferences and choose all at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down the LH pane to OSD at the bottom, select and turn on or off the text sub-titles item (it's a toggle, may need to experiment with it to get the right result)
