how to stop corel spam popping up on my desktop?

I keep getting these information boxes popping up on my desktop from corel invading my computer via the internet. I have never ever seen anything like it going directly into my computer. how can I stop this invasion? Its not happening when I open visualstudio it just happens when Im not even at the computer but the internet is connected

Yup it just happened to me...offering me an upgrade to VS 2019...which I did last week already! It is rather sneaky because it does not exist in the usual places like the Notification Area settings or as an app in Add-remove. There is no running task owned by "Corel" either. Not cool

While it's in the PaintShop Pro forum, this long thread contains various ways of at least diminishing, or at best possibly stopping, those ads. They apply to Video Studio as well.

There is also an option “Manage Your Communication Preferences” from your Corel account

You could try that, don’t know if it was mentioned on the post Ken referred to, 4 pages to plough through.

It does appear that the normal options that Corel and the program give do not seem to work too well.
