CPU 100% busy - CVS doesn`t respond to mouse click

Post by lazar1804 »

Hey, guys, I need your help.

(1.) I am worried about CPU activity while using Corel VS
(2.) I am not satisfied with COREL VS` speed

Corel VS starts to work slower approximately in same moment when CPU activity starts to grow.

Here`s the video made in VS Live Capture. You will see on the left side what`s going on in VS, and on the right side you will see CPU activity.
At 02:44 CPU activity starts to grow very much.
At 05:02 it could be seen that blue line doesn`t match with screen content.
at 05:10 it could be seen that VS doesn`t respond to cursor click.

So, I don`t know what to do. Thanks a lot!

What version of VS are you using?

Try converting the MVI_9434.MOV clip to another video format and see if the CPU utilization continues to spike.

It might also be useful to know what model camera you used to make the video. I ask since another thread today shows another user having trouble with MOV files from an Olympus camera...

I use Corel Video Studio 2018 and CANON EOS 1100D.

Is there any format that you would recommend me?

Thanks a lot!

MP4 with similar properties to the .mov original would be best. A free video converter like Handbrake should be able to do the job, and fairly quickly.

Hi
I have just viewed your You Tube video, I do not think the Mov file is the problem but the layout of the clips.
Where the CPU jumps to 100% there is a title clip with a transition immediately below a transition on the top track
Try to separate those so the transitions do not overlap.

Then where the video freezes are several clips
there is a cut on the audio, a transition on the Title clip all immediately above each others.

If you move the Title "jep" to the right so the beginning of the transition starts within the MVI 9434 clip
try playing that.

Otherwise why is there a small audio clip, can you remove that , then try playing again.

Post updated
If the transitions are causing an issue you can set a Fade In and Out to the title clip using Customise Motion rather than the A/B crossfade
