Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
The trial period is 30 days, which is pretty normal, indeed on the generous side, with some other programs only giving 10 days. However, if you are talking about the general download links, I'm not sure what you mean. In any case, when you first download, you should be saving the installation file somewhere on your system -- preferably on an external hard drive, so it will always be available in case something happens to your C:\ drive.yuritorres10 wrote:Download links available at least for one year (without insurance), 30 days is not enough
I suspect you are not going to get much luck with this one. While I agree MyDVD is not much use, unfortunately many (most?) users these days are not making either DVDs or Blu-Ray discs. It is even difficulty in many countries to find blank Blu-Rays easily available. Instead, people are simply streaming their videos from their computers or from USB stick drives or external hard drives direct into their flat screen TVs... So the need for menu templates is rapidly diminishing, rather than increasing.I would like more development in the burning blu-ray module, e.g.: much more menu templates (smart scenes).

Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
In addition to these, I noticed some more things while using Track Motion:Psyphus wrote:Please add ...Please improve ...
- full GPGPU framework support (for CUDA and OpenCL).
- full RTX support (for GeForce RTX cards) to improve 3D Text Titler and all relevant text, graphic, animation, and other native VideoStudio effects.
- the option to set the default transition to less than 1 second (in Settings > Preferences ... > Edit > Transition Effect).
- the option to save the film as an animated PNG or animated GIF file.
- a 3D VR sound environment so that audio sounds like it's not only moving left, centre, and right (as is presently available), but also sounds like it's in front, behind, above, below, and anywhere within a 3D environment.
- the option to link 3D VR sound/audio (including auto music) to 3D Text Titler letters (individual letters or a collection of letters that form words), Advanced Motion objects, etc., so that it sounds like the audio is coming from the letters or objects as they individually or collectively move around on or off the screen in the 3D environment. I'm thinking of something akin to how the audio is attached to specific objects in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3eOuqAmLAA), resulting in the 3D audio effect heard in this video (even without stereo headphones, but better with stereo headphones or 5.1 surround sound speakers).
That's all that I can think of at the moment.
- the Multi-Camera Editor feature.
When recording video with two different brands of camera, the recordings don't sync well. So the video recording needs to be cut in between transitions and resynced when transitioning. Since this doesn't work well using the Multi-Camera Editor, I need to do this manually. Usually, I add a third audio-only recording as the primary audio track to sync the video recordings to, editing them when necessary in order to keep them as synced as possible. My experience is that VideoStudio's Multi-Camera editor doesn't let me do these things. So, if possible, could the Multi-Camera Editor be modified to use an audio track (alone or in a recording) as the primary track and then resync chosen scenes with that audio track?- the Track Motion's Multipoint Tracker so that we can add and remove more points than the default 4 corners. When blurring out a group of children (for example), sometimes one or two children stand up to move around. Adding another few extra points to cover them when they do this would be ideal, instead of adding another box that clearly stands out from the main area that has been blurred.
Thank you for your consideration and thank you for making an excellent, affordable, and very user-friendly product!
- Please improve the Track Motion for human beings (e.g. human faces, heads, bodies, etc.) since it doesn't work well, and it's extremely time-consuming to manually adjust points on almost every frame no matter how many times I press the "track motion" button after each manually-adjusted frame.
- Please allow points to flush against the edge of the video (e.g. multi-point tracker, etc.). At present, this does not happen and there is a gap.

Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
Have the ability to create/maintain very small MP4 file when the source MP4 file(s) are small.
Example, doing minor edits to a Zoom webinar MP4 file. The source video is about 50 minutes long and the Zoom MP4 file is 500 MB. The Total bit rate is 1519 kbps. Resolution is 1920x1080 at 24 Frames/sec, mono sound.
VS2019 "Share MP4" minimum bit rate allowed is 4000 kbps and the resulting edited MP4 file size is 1.58 GB. Three times bigger!!!

Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
Were you asked, when inserting the clip, whether you wanted to have the Project Properties match those of the clip (Preferences > General > Show Message when inserting first clip in timeline)? If so, then did you choose "Same as project settings" when you got to Share? Or if the clip was the first inserted, "Same as first clip"?
If you have a lot of similar clips, you could even use one to make a template for future output. I've done so with an mp4 which has a similar low bitrate. Go to Settings > Movie Profile Manager. Then click on the Add button. In the new dialogue box which appears, in the File Path box click the "..." button to its right and navigate to where your low bitrate file is stored. That will then appear in that box. Under that, give the template a name you will remember. Then OK out. After that, the new template name should show next time you choose Share > Create a video you can play on your computer > Custom.
EDIT: And I just remembered to add that you cannot later edit that special new template. Attempting to do so will return it to a standard def mpeg version. So Just accept it as it is and leave it alone if you want more low bitrate clips.

Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
I really miss the zoom option for Preview Window and effects comparison screens. I use Ultimate 2019 version and when I use "sharpen", "denoise" or colour grading options, it's really difficult to use them comfortably without zooming the screen.
Definitely you have to add this feature to the new VideoStudio 2020 version.

Thanks Ken, I had not noticed this option in the Share screen.

Re: Video Studio 2020 Wishlist
I wish Video Studio x9 Ultimate was compatible with my new computer. I got a new computer thinking it would work faster and it does for the 30 seconds or so that I'm able to use it. Then it crashes. So now my VS X9 is useless to me.
