In 2018 I place a (mp4, 3840x2160, codec H.264, 16:9, frame rate: 29.97, bitrate: 59953Kbps, duration:501 seconds), video and it plays just fine. In 2019 the same video plays a few seconds then stalls for a split second, sometimes actually looking like it jumps back a few frames. This continues through the whole clip. In 2019 the clip also renders out with these 'blips'. Is this a matter of different preferences? Any ideas as to why? Remedies?

have you applied Smart Proxy using 2018 and not using 2019

Thanks for the reply. I had smart proxy turned on for both. But, I just decided to turn smart proxy off in 2018 and the same clip plays back smoothly as can be any way.
Last night I uninstalled 2019 and will wait for some updates before trying it again.
And now a shout out: I am on a few forums for different programs, but I have to say both you and Ken always seem to be there for your fellow users and I want to thank the both of you for an outstanding job. THANK YOU!
