Not going to use PSP any more. The aggressive marketing and each new download giving me a new interface sucks. This product, which I have used since Jasc, is now gone beyond commercial into adware. I pay for something that has ads built in.
I have done things a few times to stop the ads and then they come back.
There are other options.
This has become a gaudy expensive piece of shareware crap.
I hope that the company that now vends (not really owns or develops) this software reads this and gives a s****. It will be to everybody's benefit.

Wish there was a way to stop the ads. Otherwise, PSP 2018 is a good app -- and I too have had PSP since the JASC days. If you can stand the ads at the end, you can continue to use PSP, since you have already paid for it.OldNick wrote:Not going to use PSP any more. OldNick; I can tell you what works for me in PSP X8 - hopefully it will work for your 2018 version too. I tell Windows Firewall to block all Outbound communications for PSP so it can't "phone home". You can do the same for Inbound communications. You would need to create new rules in Windows Firewall. The only downside is if you need online help for your version of PSP, you won't be able to from within PSP directly to Corel. Hope this helps because I would hate to see you give up on an otherwise fine program.

Re: I give up. I am gone
Hey. You may have provided the solution for a lot of PSP users. As for me, I ignore the ad, just as I have been doing for the past 60 years. What? Of course we had ads. Ads predate the internet.TimW wrote:OldNick; I can tell you what works for me in PSP X8 - hopefully it will work for your 2018 version too.
