You are using the USB version of what?

Ulead software can be bundled with a variety of hardware. Do you have full versions or SE versions that were bundled with your hardware?

What is your capture device?
What capture settings are you using?
What are your DMF project settings?
What is the specs of your computer?

Windows version?
Does your PC have an USB 2.0 port or just an USB 1.1 port?

If your PC does not have an USB 2.0 port, it will not be able to capture the video in DVD quality or will get choppy video clips. Please contact the one who sold you the PC to know if the USB port is an USB 2.0 one.

And some Windows version does not support USB 2.0 but will support USB 1.1. Please check what Windows version do you use. If your Windows does not support USB 2.0, you will need to install the USB 2.0 driver from the manufacturor of the capture device.

Hope this helps.

I did a quick check after you posted the capture device. Here's an interesting review.
http://www.pcplus.co.uk/reviews/default ... ctionid=51
The DVD EZMaker is the smallest and lightest capture device that we’ve ever seen. It’s an analog USB 2.0 device, and has no support for standard USB 1.1 connections. Even if you have the faster USB standard available on your PC, this little piece of kit has stiff hardware requirements. To begin with, capturing at the highest quality DVD bitrate requires a 2GHz Pentium 4 at the very least. Whether the EZMaker will work at all depends on your USB 2.0 chips. If you have a VIA VT8235 or VT6202 chipset, the device will only work with an Intel CPU. It also needs Windows 2000 or XP.
Depending on your capture settings, even with a fast machine, you might have problems at high bitrates. You may have a compatibility problem with your USB chips if 2.0. If USB 1 you will definitely have problems.

If its a new purchase and you can return it, you might want to consider that option rather than putting up with the grief and aggravation of trying to make it work.

I have found that a high, constant bitrate works better for me than the variable.
