I want to upgrade--please tell what's included

I've gotten 3 emails so far about upgrading to Videostudio 2019, but clicking on the INFO link shows me what's changed in the program BUT NOT what 3rd party addons are/are not new/included.

If anybody has purchased the Ultimate version, could you please post what 3rd party addons are in the upgrade, and if any are missing?

Just bear in mind that I don't work for Corel, so this list may not be comprehensive. First off, the only plug-in that was in VS 2018 and previous versions that is NOT in VS 2019 is Boris Graffiti. However, I have copied the relevant Graffiti7.vft file from the vft_plug folder of VS 2018 to the same folder in VS 2019 and it appears to work.

As for the rest, as far as I can see these include these proDAD plug-ins:
Adorage
Mercalli 4
RotoPen
Script
Vitascene 3

Boris Continuum Title Studio

NewBlue Titler 5
NewBlue Video Essentials I, II, IV, V, VII
NewBlue Colorfast
NewBlue Sampler Effects
NewBlue Motion Effects

In other words, there are no new plug-ins (apart from version upgrades for Mercalli and Vitascene) and the removal of Graffiti.

Hopefully others will jump in here to offer additions and/or corrections to my list.

I thought Boris BCC was an upgrade?

Yes, BCC Title Studio is an upgraded version from that in VS 2018... I guess I should have mentioned that since I mentioned the upgraded versions of Mercalli and Vitascene.

I've never used Vitascene, though I use Mercalli. In fact, I bought the stand-alone version of Mercalli 4 a couple of years ago, but I haven't yet had time to see what differences, if any, exist between the stand-alone version and the plug-in version in VS 2019.

What should also be said here is something else that is not included:
Specifically, the dolby audio codec (AC3) is omitted from any 2019 version that is installed on windows 7. What this means is that any clip with dolby audio will play in 2019 as a silent movie.

Does one still need/want Boris graffiti if the new 2019 has titler? Only thing I was graffiti for was to try and have my title come out from behind a mountain ridge by using a mask of the mountains over the picture and using the motion as shown in gripps demo on YouTube but I couldn’t get it to work with my image. I’m totally new so genuinely asking if there is a reason for both or can the titler do everything graffiti could and more or do I keep graffiti once I decide to remove 2018?

I get that it doesn’t exist that was not my question. My question is if there is any need or want for graffiti or does the replacement do everything plus more. I never really used graffiti and was just starting to learn a bit about it so for those that are familiar with it I’m wondering do I even worry about it or does the new version (program) replace it and do more.

There is no one plugin that has replaced Graffiti

There are several types of text editors provided by the program
1 / the original “T” text editor ( from the vertical bar to left of library.)
2 / T3D was introduced with 2018 (3D Title Editor) access from the icon on the Tool Bar
3 / FX New Blue Titler Pro,
4 / BCC Title Studio – introduced with X10
5 / Boris Graffiti has been about for many versions.
I may have missed one?

Boris Graffiti has now been dropped with the latest version 2019., if you have not used that in the past you will not miss it
Some users are however a little miffed that this has been removed

Some tools more graphical with 3D effects, the 3DT appears to be a cut down/simpler version of Corels Motion Studio 3D.
With the 4 remaining text editors to choose from, for me is enough to think about.
Yes some have been updated / improved but none are new to 2019

You would have to try those yourself to see which suits your needs

I'm no expert also but on genaral overview BCC looks more complex than graffity, and I couldn't find the mask yet.
