2019 bug
How did this get through beta testing?
When you drag a clip or item to the storyboard and place it in front of another clip, it goes to the end
and not the beginning as it should. A similar thing happens in the time line. This also happens in the Split Screen mode. See attachments. https://app.sugarsync.com/wf/D1814182_040_888223255
2018 on the left is what 2019 on the right should have done.

Re: 2019 bug
When in Storyboard view I can drag “Clip A” to position 1, then drag another “Clip B” to the left of position 1, “Clip B” now shows in position 1 with “Clip A” in position 2
I then dropped three clips to the left of position 1, all clips took up their correct positions.
Working with the Timeline View is another matter as Corel have introduced Gapping this has affected the way the timeline reacts to adding clips.

pepegota, as you are the hero that jump first into VS2019, hold the bugs till you collect a full band than post the concert. As a VS old timer you know it wouldn't take you long.

I installed twice and the same result. You must have something different because it is not working
on my. omputer. It's a major problem that makes work flow very difficult and must be addressed.
It also makes split screen operations difficult as the cursor is not obeyed.

Re: 2019 bug
Beta testing doesn't control releases or whether a bug gets through. The real question is why did QA cave in to the project manager?pepegota wrote:How did this get through beta testing?

Re: 2019 bug
Hi,
where is the bug? Can not see anyone here, can not find anyone, is not reproducible. Where did the beta testers sleep?
I can only agree with Trevor. Of course I can be wrong.

Re: 2019 bug
I don't understand your references to split screen, when using the split screen function clips are placed on top of the holders in the multiple overlay tracks in timeline view, not next to anything in the top track , if you are using split screen in VS2019 then your screen should look something like the image below
your comments are also confusing about placing clips in VS2019, if you want the new clip to the right of an existing one then place it well to the right, it will stay wherever you put it in 2019, then slide it left along the timeline until it is next to the previous clips why are you putting the new one any where near the existing one, and when placing clips in storyboard mode a white vertical line appears where the clip will appear , make sure that is to the right of existing clips before you release the mouse button

Not sure i understood the Split Screen comment
But add one image to the top timeline, will position to far left
now try adding another image to the left of the first clip
do in Storyboard view and it adds ok

Re: 2019 bug
Pictures do not lie but, the placement is an issue. See my attachments, from a prior post, if you don't believe me. The split screen is ok, but the placement is an issue.

Re: 2019 bug
yes you are correct placement is the issue - I think you are placing your clips in the wrong place - show us a video screen capture of what you do and what happens

No problem with 2018. 2018, after move of red clip to left as it should be.
2019, after red clip moved to left but, appears on right side in timeline.

There seems to be some confusion in what you refer to as Split Screen
BJC provided an image of a Split Screen template used in the timelines and that is not what you are referring to.

Re: 2019 bug
Please disregard split screen. The issue is incorrect placement on timeline. The program cannot handle the gap. They should have left well enough alone or get help from PowerDirector with gaps. I shorten a clip and the accompanying title when far to the end of timeline with rippling enabled. They need a patch and fast!!!
