I suddenly can't select text anymore - HELP!

Hello, I have a Paintshop Pro X9 Ultimate and I just tried to add text to my pic and I can type text in, but I can't select the text anymore (neither with mouse or with a key-command Ctrl + A). So far it has been possible, but not anymore. I uninstalled Paintshop with CCleaner and then Reinstalled it back to see if it helps, but NO. I restarted my PC, still no luck.
I have Windows 7 64 bit.

Then I checked via the help's 'check for updates' but there is no updates.

What to do, I'd need to use my program for my work.

Well, it got fixed by itself it seems. Odd thing how something like this appears and then gets fixed by it's own. I'll let you know if it comes back.
Also, a crop tool reduced the size horizontally and vertically - til i unticked the "Maintain aspect radio". It has been unticked all the years and now it was ticked by default. Weird.

Please give a step by step account on what you are doing.
Might also help if you can show your tool options - the bar along the top where you have Presets font style etc Do a screen shot and crop just that and resize it to 800 pixels wide.

I already told what I did, i.e. tried to select my text that I typed. The settings are all default, but it doesn't matter as the problem disappeared by itself.
